(M) Sdn. Bhd in particular and the Information Communications
Technology industry in general.
AirStar was incorporated in 1997 and is
a 100% Bumiputra Status Company and since its
existence; we believe that with hard work and
consistent nature of working environment, we were
awarded Multimedia Super Corridor Status (MSC) on
18th June 1998.
Therefore, this is seen as stepping stone to
achieving a world-class physical and information
infrastructure.
AirStar is among the first group of local companies
which obtained the MSC R&D Grant Scheme (MGS)
approved by the Ministry of Science, Technology
and Environment in 2002.
Our objective line is to achieve the MSC’s goals
by developing the area into a high speed wireless
infrastructure and high capacity global telecommunications
infrastructure to support such multimedia services.
AirStar is ready to contribute to the development
of any MSC flagship application. The current
project of commercialization
of our R&D will enhance development
of government projects, medium-sized businesses,
home offices, internet users, companies and cellular
backhaul operators.
AirStar focuses on R&D effort on wireless
microwave Point-to-Point telecommunications system,
catering to challenges due to the tropical climate
area.
We are ready to see telecommunications companies
(telcos) with our wireless microwave Point-to
Point telecommunication systems that will
meet the challenges of wide area network and metropolitan
area network with high speed wireless local loop
solutions.
We reveal plans to embark on R&D in wireless
microwave Point-to-Multipoint Systems. We promise
that there’ll be a lot of changes from our
R&D results in view of rapid evolution in
technologies.
Our main focus on two vital groups
of the government service and corporate sector.
Nowadays, Airstar continues to represent
companies on cutting edge of technology and its
mission is identical to that of its founders 1997-
to achieve a competitive in information,
communication and technology wise.
